What’s new in the 1.0 update

Fields of Mistria left early access on August 5, 2026. Here is what the 1.0 update added, where each piece of it lives on this site, and the answers to the questions players ask first.

The short answers

From the studio’s own 1.0 FAQ and release announcement.

When did 1.0 release?
August 5, 2026, after two years in early access.
Is it still in early access?
No. 1.0 is the full release.
Do I need to start a new save?
No. Saves carry over, and all the new content is reachable however far along you are.
Did the price go up?
No. The studio said it does not plan to raise the price for 1.0.
Do achievements need a fresh save?
No. They are awarded retroactively from your existing save when you load it.
Is there more coming after 1.0?
Yes. More content updates and patches are planned.
Is it on console?
Not yet. The studio is focused on PC and says it will look at ports later.

What 1.0 added

The headline features, and where to read about each on this site. Everything here is reflected in the data these pages are built from.

Since the update

A follow-up patch, 1.0.1, cleared a run of crashes and visual bugs reported in the first hours — among them crashes on loading certain saves and in the mines. It changed no content.

How this works

Coming back after a break

Your save works as it is, so the quickest way back in is to pick up the thread you left. If you were part-way through a romance, the romance page covers the ten-heart events, proposals and weddings that now sit past the old eight-heart ceiling.

If you were closer to done with the town, the renown cap and the repair questline both moved, and the museum pages will show you which sets still exist — including the two 1.0 added.

Starting fresh at 1.0

Nothing in the update is gated behind having played early access. The usual opening moves still apply: work out what each villager wants from the gift finder, plant whatever pays best that season from the crop planner, and keep an eye on the calendar for birthdays.

The skills page lists every perk including the seven that are new, so you can plan where your essence goes before you spend any of it.

About the translations

The seven non-English languages shipped as betas at roughly 75% complete, and the game falls back to English for anything not yet translated. This site uses the game's own text, so the same gaps appear here — a handful of names show in English even on a translated page. Where that happens, the page says so rather than leaving you guessing.
